Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite
At long last, some apparently definitive details on Samsung’s i5700, the handset formerly known as Galaxy Lite and now reportedly called the Spica. Italian site Cellularmania has a pretty exhaustive hands-on gallery and a much-coveted list of specs for the lime green HSDPA Android vessel. We’re looking at a 3-inch AMOLED screen with 384 x 240 resolution, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, 1500 mAh battery, accelerometer, GPS, FM radio… and yes, sad but unsurprising, it’s soft-rocking a 528MHz Qualcomm processor. Unlike our last glimpse, there now seems to be that requisite Android home bottom on the right side of the lower panel, but no such luck for any trackball. We’re also lacking price or release date details for any region, but at least for US enthusiasts, we’re pretty confident that you shouldn’t get your hopes up, given how the i7500 has been relegated stateside.

Vodafone puts BlackBerry Storm2
And it’s out. The BlackBerry Storm2 just made its first official carrier appearance with Vodafone. The promising followup to the much maligned BlackBerry Storm will be free on pay-monthly contracts from £35 on up. Specs include a 3.25-inch 360 x 480 pixel capacitive SurePress (new and improved) touchscreen display, 802.11b/g WiFi and 2100MHz UMTS/HSPA data, 256MB of flash memory (double that of the original Storm), 2GB of onboard memory with microSDHC expansion, 3.5-mm standard headset jack, 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording, built-in GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, and 1400mAh battery giving about 6 hours of 3G talk. BlackBerry OS 5 too, of course, when it lands on October 15th in the UK, Ireland, Germany, The Netherlands, and Spain — France, Italy, and South Africa in time for Christmas.

Motorola CLIQ review
Palm and Motorola have taken very different paths to get where they are today; one began life as a scrappy Valley start-up founded by a tablet computing pioneer, the other traces its roots to all the way back to the early days of consumer electronics and the automotive industry. Yet somehow, through years (decades, even) of adventure, success, and misfortune, they’ve found themselves in exactly the same situation here in 2009: it’s do-or-die time. Palm, of course, has elected to try its hand at resurrecting the very thing that took it to superstardom in the first place — an elegant, tightly-controlled software platform of its own with hardware to match — while Motorola has thrown virtually all of its remaining weight behind Android in the hope that it can catch a little mojo from Google’s ecosystem.
For Motorola, it’s the wireless equivalent of stepping up to the roulette table, putting what’s left of your depleted life savings on red, and letting it ride just as you see security guards off in the distance coming to throw you — penniless — off the premises. It’s a gamble of the highest order, but it’s also a gamble Motorola’s painfully aware that it needs to take. North America’s only top-five handset manufacturer needs nothing less than magic (and a little luck) to earn its way back into the world’s wireless elite — and that risky play starts right here, today, with the CLIQ / DEXT.
So does the CLIQ pave the way to a New Motorola, or did the RAZR’s checkered legacy ultimately dig a hole too deep to escape? Read on.

Motorola i9 Ferrari Mobile Phone
Motorola and Ferrari have joined forces once again and created the i9 Ferrari edition handset, that will reach Nextel Brazil soon. This device is already available in the US, as Motorola Stature via Sprint and Boost Mobile.

Moto i9 is a pretty sexy iDEN phone, bearing the Ferrari logo and packing Ferrari content (wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones that mimic Ferrari engine sounds). The handset features 2 QVGA screens, push to talk, GPS, a 3.1 megapixel camera and external illuminated keys.
Bluetooth support is also on the specs list and you have to know that the phone is bundled with a 2GB memory card. Nextel Brazil sells Motorola i9 Ferrari for about $688.

Samsung Pixon12 M8910 Mobile Phone
Phone Arena managed to score a Pixon12 M8910 unit for review and this 12 megapixel cameraphone proved to be as cool as expected, if not even more. The design of the original Pixon model was kept, albeit this one is a bit slimmer and the overall look mimics the one of a point and shoot digital camera.

There’s a 3.1 inch resistive AMOLED touchscreen display on board, strangely enough a smaller screen than the one of the predecessor of this phone. However, the 480 x 800 pixels resolution is just great, but the display disappoints when you use it in direct sunlight. As far as the UI is concerned, Pixon12 comes with TouchWiz 2.0, a lag-free version of the interface, with nice widgets, smooth transitions and a very responsive solution overall.
Three home screens are available for you and widgets that can be placed on specific screens, according to the user’s tastes and desire for personalization. Samsung’s new cameraphone also supports multi-tasking and you’ll be able to bring up the task manager by pressing and holding down the middle hardware button, if you need it.

Moving on to the most interesting aspect of the phone, the 12 megapixel camera, we learn that it features blink and smile detection, a dedicated camera button, customizable resolution, ISO levels, effects and white balance. The on board Xenon flash will be of great help, specially as far as photo realism is concerned.

Samsung Armani
You know, if it weren’t so early in the morning, we might just think Samsung’s latest Armani slider (more formally known as the SPH-W8200) was a gilded Instinct HD with a pull-down number pad. We’re going to do our best to pretend there’s really something more here, starting with the fact that the Giorgio Armani logo beneath the screen is probably worth more than half of our belongings… at least according to Craigslist. At any rate, the first glimpse at this here phone’s specifications has finally emerged, and while some tidbits are still up in the air, we do know that it’ll arrive with a 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a DMB TV tuner, 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA, Bluetooth and a microSD expansion slot. Too bad the price will inevitably overshadow all of that, but hey, fashion ain’t cheap — ya heard?

Nokia N900
Our amateur sleuthing skills tell us there might be a tiny bit of excitement about this N900 device. With the Maemo 5 environment already measured up, it’s the turn of the hardware to get exhaustively previewed. The My Symbian team took a look at a prototype unit and were immediately impressed by the 800 x 480 display and relatively compact dimensions for such a loaded phone. The resistive touchscreen was on par with the N97, though it picked up scratches too easily for their liking ( a screen protector is recommended), while the keyboard was deemed small but still a major improvement over the N97’s. Internals rated well, with the 600MHz Cortex-A8 CPU and “superb” video recording grabbing plaudits. Perplexingly, there was only 256MB allocated to application installs (see image after the break), which can be altered by those with Linux knowhow, but this may draw plenty of ire from mainstream, app-hungry consumers, considering the device is capable of holding 48GB of total memory. On the outside, the camera cover was found to scratch the case around the lens (but not the lens itself like on some N97 units) while sliding, and removing the stylus from its slot revealed some bare electronics, both of which rather undermined the overall feel of a well-built device. They did find connectivity on the device a pretty dreamy and trouble-free affair, but we’re still only scratching the surface here — hit up the read link for the whole enchilada.

Verizon Razzle
Call it a cool idea, call it ridiculous, call it a one-off novelty — whatever the case, Verizon’s unique Razzle will be hitting stores next week. The PCD-sourced handset is Verizon’s branded version of the TXT8030 and features a totally unique twisting bottom half with stereo speakers and music controls on one side and a full QWERTY keyboard on the other. This is a truly low-end handset on account of its 1.3 megapixel camera and forgettable 2.2-inch display, but on the plus side, it’s got microSD expansion and GPS — and there’s the nice little bit about the price, too, which comes in at $69.99 on contract. It’ll be available to order from Verizon’s web store starting the 6th, while brick-and-mortar locations pick it up “later this month.”

LG’s GD510 Pop
LG has just gone official with a new handset, the GD510 Pop, that they’re saying will provide a classy touchscreen experience at a reasonable price, and boasting it as the most compact 3″ touchscreen phone out there. The Pop is keeping things simple with a single dial/hangup key on the front, and a slim form factor, but the optional solar charging cover is a nice touch. We don’t have much info when it comes to specs, but here’s what we do know.
8GB internal storage
3 megapixel camera
3″ QVGA touchscreen
The Pop will be coming to Europe mid-October and heading to other markets shortly thereafter.

Philips C702, X806 all-touchscreen phones
Philips keeps pumping new devices for the ever growing Chinese market. Latest phones we caught are all-touchscreen models called C702 and X806.
The first of the two, Philips C702 (pictured on the left), is a CDMA 1X device, destined for China Telecom. Its specs include 3.4-inch QVGA screen (huge screen for such a low resolution), 1.3-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, 70MB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSD memory cards.
The second device is Philips X806, a 14mm thick phone which comes with 3.5-inch 240×400 pixels display, 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, 47MB of internal memory and MicroSD card support. The bad thing about it is the support for GPRS data, only.
And that’s about all we got for you. We’ve no information whether Philips plans to bring these babies outside of China. As soon as we hear something new, we’ll let you know.

Motorola CLIQ Mobile Phone
Counting down the moments with your besties until T-Mobile USA opens up the pre-order page for Motorola’s first-ever Android device? Might as well do something more productive in the meanwhile, particularly since the aforesaid carrier has just announced plans to charge $199.99 for the CLIQ on a two-year agreement. Without a doubt, that’s quite a bit more than the $0.00 we gently expected (okay, not really) it to run, but it’s pretty much par for the course these days. Existing T-Mobile customers that are interested in getting ahold of this thing (in Titanium or Winter White) early can pre-order one from October 19th through November 1st, while newcomers and procrastinators can get theirs in-store starting on November 2nd. So — you in, or what?

Motorola VE440
MetroPCS has another entry-level device in its portfolio. It’s the candybar-shaped Motorola VE440, which sports such things as tri-band CDMA connectivity (800/1700/1900 MHz) with 1x data, Bluetooth, GPS, dedicated music control keys, standard 3.5mm headset jack, 1.3-megapixel camera, microSD expansion slot (cards of up to 8GB are supported), and the ability to sing along MetroPCS’ chatLINK service.
In a nutshell, nothing special here, but another easy to use handset which can also work as an MP3 player. The price is $129…

BlackBerry Curve 8520
We’ve had a lot of sneak peeks at the Rogers BlackBerry Curve 8520 over the past little while. First we heard about some inventory shots, then some leaked device images, THEN mention of internal employee training… Now, some new pics have leaked out, pointing us towards an imminent device launch on Rogers. As you can see in the images provided here (thanks to Treatz via CrackBerry), the dummy phones have arrived at Rogers, and besides the standard black livery, there’s also a lavender/purple-ish looking 8520 on tap as well. Interesting. At any rate, check out the pictures below for all the Rogers BlackBerry Curve 8520 love you can handle.

Vertu Constellation Ayxta
You might think you’re hot stuff for carrying around a new Vertu Constellation Ayxta, but this is America, bub — and your blinged-up Nokia has to kick it at the FCC just like everyone else. Of course, without that fancy always-on-call Concierge service and Vertu Select, all you’re really looking at here is a pretty anonymous featurephone wrapped up in high-end garb, but you’re not spending your $10,500 on features here — you’re spending it because you’re too lazy and rich to buy something good.

A fruitful accessory for your iPhone the latest Xshot iPhone case
A fruitful and apt accessory for your iPhone is the latest Xshot iPhone case. It’s a wondrous device which meets all your needs and covers your phone and save it from all the injuries. Such iPhone cases can be used for both iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. iPhone is especially meant to take photos, videos and watch movies and if this demands are not fulfilled than its useless to buy an iPhone. And thus Xshot iPhone case is made.

This Xshot suffices a universal tripod thus you can mount your iPhone on it and can capture your mesmerizing memories in it. You can even watch movies and videos in your travels and can relax. This case is purely made from chrome and plastic and you can purchase them for just $29.95 from Xshot for the best shot.

Nüvifone G60 gets Official on AT&T
After meandering the Asian world, Garmin-asus is bringing their nüvifone brand to North America on October 4 care of AT&T; that $299.99 pricetag rumour was dead on. The G60 nüvifone runs on Linux, rocks a 272 x 480 WQVGA touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, 2.5 mm headphone jack (boo), and true to Garmin’s DNA, it’s big on GPS navigation and services. This will be the only Linux phone to come out of Garmin-asus, as they’ll be switching to Android and Windows Mobile exclusively for future handsets. The M20 is currently their Windows Mobile offering, but we’ll have to wait and see if it ever finds its way to this side of the pond. If you’d like to take a closer look, I tried out the G60 in Barcelona earlier this year, or you can scope out the information page.

Nokia N97 mini
It’s good to see Nokia finally making true world phones. By this I mean a single device that sings on both 900/2100MHz and 850/1900 MHz, used in Europe/Asia and North America, respectively. On that note, the Nokia N97 mini has been spotted at the FCC with a quad-band 3G radio, meaning you’ll be able to use it both in the U.S. and Europe, which is cool. You know rest of the mini’s specs, so I won’t repeat them here. I’ll only add that I’m hoping this will be the Finnish giant’s practice for all high-end devices in the future. No one wants to have a special phone when travelling, right?

BlackBerry Storm
Earlier this afternoon my bud Artem over at ToneConcept let me know about a new theme he’s put out. It’s setup for the BlackBerry Storm 95xx, and it looks kinda cool… thought I’d share it with you all! Called ‘Sticky Notes’, the concept behind it is quite self-explanitory. Artem also made sure to tell me this theme runs ’super fast’, with no memory leaks as a lot of other themes out there seem to have.

Verizon Pre
A dubious rumor from The Street floating around about how Verizon was snubbing the Pre due to lackluster sales and no outlet for its VCast Store (which was a bit too thin to make it onto these virtual pages, in fact) has been questioned by a couple of analysts today. According to Deutsche Bank’s Jonathan Goldberg and Morgan Keegan & Co’s Tavis McCourt, a combination of supply chain orders and Palm’s own 2010 financial projections — not to mention Verizon’s long history with Palm — all point to a Pre launch on Verizon early next year, as previously rumored by the WSJ and confirmed by Verizon itself in July. Jonathan specifically called the new rumor “off base” and “incorrect,” while Tavis says that “We do not have insight as to the marketing support Palm will get from Verizon, but we see little risk in not getting a placement at this carrier.” Analyst fight!

Vertu announces Constellation Ayxta flip phone
Vertu’s not known for making cut rate electronics, so this is probably the closest it’ll ever come. The company’s just unveiled its latest flip phone, the Constellation Ayxta. The Ayxta is aimed at citizens of the world who are looking for a “high quality product to assist in maintaining their standard of living wherever they may be,” — i.e., lazy people who’d rather throw money at something than figure out what to do on their own on a Friday night in Vienna. We can sympathize — sort of. To that end, the handset will be kitted with all manner of awesomeness, including Vertu’s own Concierge service which puts you on the line with a customer service representative directly — no hold required. Users will also get access to Vertu Select — which, as we said before, will help you out and tell you where all the cool people are in whatever one horse town you happen to be in at the moment. It’s got 3G and a micros SD slot for up to 8GB of storage, plus a 3.0 megapixel cam with integrated flash (which is always nice), but other than that it’s pretty unimpressive. The Constellation Ayxta is available in Europe now, and for a very affordable €4,900 to €6,500 — somewhere in the neighborhood of $7,000 – $10,500.
